The 2009 Annual Club Show will take place on Saturday and Sunday, October 17 and 18 at the Cottage Grove Armory. (The Armory is located at 8180 Beldon Avenue. Take the Grange Blvd exit on Highway 61 and follow the signs!) The admission fee is $2 for adults, $1 for children or $5 for a family. (The admission fees cover the cost to rent the facility.)

In addition to the many wonderful indoor vendors and tailgaters selling in the parking lot, there will be exhibits and demonstrations, a kids area, and the following guest speakers and educational programs are scheduled for the show:
Saturday October 17th:
12:00 PM Roger Clark - Fairburn Agates
Roger will sell and sign his new book Fairburn Agates II in the demonstration area, immediately following his presentation.
1:30 PM Sheryl Fisher - Metaphysical Properties of Common Stones
Sheryl is the co-owner of Ki Stones and is well known locally.
3:00 PM Steve Huber - Lapidary Arts
Steve is back with more tips and tricks for the beginning lapidarist.
Sunday October 18th:
12:00 PM Steve Olson - Precious Metal Clay
Steve began working with this medium several years ago and has designed some great pieces.
2:00 PM John McArdle - Basic Fossil Identification
John is the co-owner of ZRS in South Minneapolis and has traveled extensively to collect and study fossils.
There will be door prizes awarded hourly plus a grand prize drawing at the end of the show. Reminder for club members--we still need volunteers to help in various capacities!
